Pan American Union to host school, university and military sports organizations

Press PATU 01.09.2023.- Following the model of the World Taekwondo Federation (WT) in this matter, the Pan American Taekwondo Union will strengthen ties with various sports entities recognized as related organizations with the objective of expanding the frontiers of this Olympic martial art in the continent.

After the events held in Mazatlan, Mexico and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, World School Championship and World Gymnasiad respectively, tournaments that were supported by the World Federation in search of the growth of taekwondo as a sport and martial art, the Pan American Union will adopt the practice that will benefit Taekwondo in the region.

"This is one more step towards the development of Taekwondo in our region, by strengthening relations with these entities recognized as related organizations, we will build increasingly solid foundations that will later transcend to events of all kinds. We will support with training to facilitate this process and increase the level in each of these branches of Taekwondo, commented PATU's president, Juan Manuel López Delgado.

School, university and military sports will be the organizations that will be hosted by the Pan American Taekwondo Union and will work together for the benefit of Continental Taekwondo, under the guidelines of World Taekwondo.
