PATU Press – The Pan American Taekwondo Union held this January 7 a first meeting with the Technical Directors of the MNA’s in 2023 where LAE. Juan Manuel Lopez Delgado, president of this institution, thanked the support of each country on the way to the designation of PATU as Continental Union of the year by World Taekwondo.
As an introduction to the meeting, Lopez Delgado described the year 2023 as “one of the most challenging years that our organization will have”.
Under this scenario and in order to seek the technical improvement of the countries on par with the transparent administrative exercise of the current management, the top leader of continental taekwondo reported on the following aspects:
1.- The countries were urged to comply with the administrative mandates of PATU.
2 .- Creation of the Pan American League Team Kyorugui.
PATU 2023 Calendar.
4.- PanamSports Camp for Junior athletes of the region.
5 .- Importance of attendance at events under the Pan American Taekwondo Congress Aguascalientes 2023.
6 .- Regulatory compliance and its importance.
7.- Inclusion of Team Kyorugui to the CAC Games San Salvador and Pan American Games Santiago, both in 2023.
Technical Aspects of the Qualifying Tournaments to San Salvador (February/Heredia, Costa Rica) and Santiago (March/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
New Circuit of Events in America in the framework of the PATU 12 program.
10.- Importance of the attendance to the events of the Pan-Am Series Circuit.
11.- 2023 Pan American Club Championship.
“All the countries are doing well, we are working together in an intense, strong year, so that the athletes enter directly to the Olympic Games, and thus open the door to the countries that economically have less possibilities.
That is the strategy that has been very clear in our management, I remind the countries of America that they must be in the clearest possible regulatory compliance with PATU and that we must all work very hard together.
