Continental Dossier: Taekwondo at the Pan American Games Indianapolis 1987

The debut of taekwondo in the official program of the 1987 Indianapolis Pan American Games, organized by the then Pan American Sports Organization (PASO), today PanamSports, took place from August 14 to 16 of that year in the Main Gymnasium of Indiana University - Purdue University, in Indianapolis, United States.

A total of 126 male athletes from the following countries participated: Argentina, Aruba, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Mexico, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.
